A copy of this novel was provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
The beginning was a bit confusing to read and follow. It jumped from one thing to another. since it had a good premise of the story, it may have been better if the book began with a prologue where Liz learns her parents are killed. Then the story picks up from there.
Normally I ignore grammatical errors; however, I felt the errors took away from the story.
With the anticipation built up after the "gun fight", I was expecting more of a climax or any climax. Thought the chapter/scene where the girls were acting as the judge, jury, and executioner, was immature and didn't "fit" with Nick's character.
I would be a fool to not love Nick - who wouldn't :) Van did a wonderful job with the characters and building the relationship between Liz & Nick.
Is there going to be a second book? Think the ending or epilogue was missing from my book or did I miss it?
